On Sunday, June 1, 2025, we were invited to show our interesting cars at la "Fête des Forges" at "Les Forges des Salles".
We met for a coffee at the "À l'ouest" bar in the centre of Perret. A picnic followed in our treasurer and membership secretary John's garden.
At 13:45, twelve Cars from "Le Interesting Car Club" left Perret via the back roads to "Les Forges des Salles". We were welcomed by the owner Emmanuelle du Pontavice. We displayed our cars in front of the ironmaster's house.
On site, there were many visitors who came to discover the 17th-century iron mining village. They were able to have a guided tour , to stroll past the artisan stands & were able to admire our vehicles in this setting steeped in history.
A festive day sharing exceptional heritage and beautiful mechanics provided a great time.
In summary: 21 ICC members, 12 cars, and 5 dogs joined in this outing. Our thanks to John and his neighbour Giselle for making this possible.
As always, our members were able to share their passion for mechanics.
This was seen in the form of a "guided tour" of an engine with a guided tour of a former steelmaking village in the background.
