Cars, Café & Crêpes – Sunday, March 30, 2025
On this beautiful "Sunny Sunday", nearly 40 paid up 2025 members of "The Interesting Car Club" gathered in the car park in front of the Crêperie "Un rayon de blé noir" for the monthly gathering. 25 interesting vehicles, both vintage and new, each with its own history and charm.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming 14 members of the "Armor Véhicules Anciens" club, together with 7 more very interesting cars who made the trip down from Binic.
Due to the publicity on our Facebook page plus Geoff's colourful posters that are put up by our members all over Brittany, there were a few other visiting very interesting cars present. These cars & their owners, blended into the meet. They introduced both themselves, their projects & their treasures leading to a few being interested in joining our club.
There was a very informative & animated lesson between our trusty Treasurer & the President's husband in crimping tools! Both learned skills from the other, whilst other coffee drinkers watched on.
As always, a warm atmosphere surrounded by coffee and crêpes. There were moments of exchange around our Interesting cars, a sharing in our passion for beautiful vehicles.
A few curious visitors were able to admire our cars and motorcycles and chat with the owners about them.
Apologies were received from 2 cars, Barbara's 1963 Anglia PLUS Michelle & Damian's Jaguar. Was it the early wake up due the clocks changing to summer time causing mechanical issues? Barbara's less interesting car saved the day & she attended to share her story. Damian & Michelle's absence was unfortunate.
Just after midday, two convoys of motorbike riders descended on the car park. The leather clad visitors, parked up & meandered through our display.
Between us all, we filled the Crêperie to capacity & savoured a delicious lunch. Thank you Thierry & crew for having us.
After the meal, everyone left with the memory of a wonderful day and the promise to meet again for the next monthly gathering on April 27, 2025.
This will be the “Journée Nationale des Véhicules d’Epoque ”.
