Forges des Salles celebration of June 2, 2024
The grey sky did not prevent us from meeting on Sunday June 2, 2024 in the car park in the center of the village of Perret.
As always, a real joy to find ourselves aboard our old ones. Picnic lunch around the small lake, where we found a vast area to park our cars and place our picnic tables. A very pleasant moment, especially as the wind chased away the clouds to ultimately offer us a magnificently sunny and warm day.
We set off again on the roads towards the Forges des Salles, where we park the cars for the afternoon in front of the chateau for a static exhibition, thus offering an additional discovery to visitors to the historic site festival.
Thanks to John for a wonderful day.
Frédérique.

John :
“Many thanks to all of you for your support of our event today at the Forge Hall. A few more than I expected, bought pretty much by the glorious sunshine today I counted 26 cars in total, 4 of which just showed up uninvited to join the party. Bravery awards must go to our 2 Austin 7 owners. Rosy Turland, who came all the way from Gourin in her 1936 Ruby, then was left behind at the picnic, but still managed to do it . And secondly, John Harding who appeared in his 1929 Chummy, despite it having no working clutch or generator. I hope you both managed to get home okay.
All in all, a great day out”
