The weather for our last Sunday of the month meet for October was dry & cold, but we had 27 members present under "Les Halles" at Gouarec. It was reassuring to know that almost the same number had tended their apologies. Thank you all.
Steve J. who has a white Mazda MX5 came brandishing his completed membership form & his subs & became our 106th member for 2025.
He is also the first member for 2026 as he had read the Internal rules stating that as a new member joining after 1st October, you get the last three autumnal months free. A warm welcome to Steve.
Steve was also first in the queue with his menu choices for the AGM meal.
Olivier, in his day car joined us from "La Harmoye" near Quintin. He has a TR3 & came to visit for the first time & took away a membership form to complete.
Chris in "Maurice" had an interesting journey to the meet. His route took him through Glomel & he was flashed to stop by a "young lady" called Estelle. Thinking there was a problem with his car, he ground to a halt.
Estelle delayed Chris' arrival by about half an hour. It's OK Fiona, we do think she was more interested in Maurice & his beautiful woodwork than Chris himself! After asking many questions she followed & joined us at Gouarec. She then fell in love with "Genevieve" (1967 Daimler 2.5 V8) and arm twisted Paul to take her for a spin.
Coffee was available at the Ty-Bihan Crêperie until 11ish & then at least a dozen of us stayed to sample their very tasty & reasonably priced crêpes at midday.
Jean, our local Télégramme reporter was a little late on parade, but he did manage a good photo & his write up was correct & appeared online within 24 hours!
The red MG pictured belongs to our September " Fête de Lohuec" new members David & Alison.
I was busy collecting money & AGM menu choices at the table. If I didn't catch you for a chat, I hope that another of the other members of the committee did. I hope that you were welcomed & that you felt that your presence was appreciated.
Same time, same place for the next "Last Sunday of the month Meet".
Kay Koch, le 29 Octobre 2025.
