We are organizing a trip to the HARAS National de Lamballe on the 11th March 2023. The cost is 5 euros per person. We need at least 15 people (hopefully more) to make it viable. The visit will be conducted in English and is scheduled to last around 90 minutes.
 
The HARAS National was instigated by Napoleon Bonaparte, to breed war horses. These Stables survive today and we would see the horses bred go onto to work on farms and breweries. These stables survive as part of the heritage of France and they do dressage amongst other displays throughout the year. An interesting tour. You will learn more about the history from the tour.

The HARAS visit will be here soon. Can those of you who have expressed an interest and have yet to pay please cross my palm with a cheque? The fee is €5 / person for the visit of the stables and if you are staying for lunch – club members will pay €18/person for the lunch instead of €21 / person for none club members.
 
Therefore Visit of the stables and lunch will come to €23 per person for club members and €26 for none club members. I will be at the Bon Repos meeting on Sunday. You have an opportunity to let me have your menu choices if you have not already done so and of course the money.
 
Lunch is at the ARDOISE Restaurant – situated across the road from the Railway station in Lamballe. It is a 10 minute walk from the HARAS or there is ample parking near and in the station grounds.
 
The meal will be subsidised to €18 per person to fully paid up club members.

– Mignon de porc rôti, sauce au cidre ( Roast tenderloin of Pork in a Cider sauce)
– Pavé de cabillaud , légumes de saison et coulis de crustacés (Cod steak, seasonal vegetables and shellfish coulis)
● Desserts (au choix) : Choice of puddings
– Sablé breton crème vanillée et fruits frais (Breton shortbread with vanilla cream and fresh fruit)
– Palette du pâtissier (assortiment gourmand de plusieurs petits desserts) (Pastry chef’s palette (gourmet assortment of several small desserts)
